Whether you are new to yoga or have been practicing for years, this workshop will help you safely navigate the waters of moving through your asana practice with greater ease, enjoyment and ultimately allowing you to deepen your practice. We will go back to the basics: exploring fundamental body alignment associated with balancing poses. With the help of hands on adjustments, demonstrations and individual alignment cues, we will safely allow ourselves to deepen our asana practice and explore the infinite alternatives that exist.

Restorative Yoga Workshop with Hunter

Nurture yourself and learn to relax deeply in this restorative yoga workshop. Restorative yoga uses blankets, bolsters, and blocks to support the body in restful postures. This encourages the body to relax, open, renew and heal. As the body releases deeply, the mind grows quiet and reflective bringing your whole being into a more balanced state. Hunter will assist you in setting up each pose, and will also teach you how to practice on your own, so you can experience this blissful state regularly.
Please bring a pillow and blanket. Studio props are available for use, but are limited depending on the number of attendees. No previous yoga experience necessary.

Chakra Vinyasa Flow with gwen
Join us for a one hour vinyasa practice based in the chakras. Each Sunday from noon-1pm, explore the yoga poses, vibrations, and visualization that help us connect us with our energy centers, the chakras. Each class will focus on the chakras in order with the final class as a culmination practice of all 7 chakras. This class is open to all students, and you can come to any or all classes. Regular class rates apply, included in monthly/yearly memberships. Class dates: Jan 8, 15,22,29 and Feb. 5, 12, (no class on Feb. 19), 26.

Join gwen for a special all level vinyasa class with live music by Ibrahima Faye. Ibrahima Faye is a musician and artist from Senegal. His soulful tone and skillful guitar playing will bring your yoga practice to another level. Ibrahima will also have his artwork on display at the studio.

Phillip Askew Poignant is poetic & playful and his classes are a rhythmic and meditative flow of classic forms and techniques. Emphasizing awareness through precision, meditation in motion, and the art of conscious embodiment, they are a forum for the collective psychic experience and a pranic exchange. Imbued with meaning and metaphor, at an intersection of ideas from eastern philosophy and western science, they challenge the body, engage the mind, and quicken the spirit.
